Top 2015 Beauty Trends You Need to Know!
Dark Lips
I know what you’re thinking… this isn’t new. This is a trend every fall. You’re right, partially. Vampy, berry lips do seem to come on the scene around this time ever year, but there’s a new themethis year: 90s. Thanks in part to the Kylie Jenner lip craze, makeup artists everywhere have been featuring dark lips with brown and taupe undertones. If you’re a lover of brighter berry lips, have no fear, because they’re still on-trend. However, you’ll definitely be seeing more muted tones this season.
Blush
It definitely can be hard to back away from the bronzer, but once the cooler weather rolls around and your sun exposure is lacking, piling too-dark makeup onto paler skin isn’t always the most flattering look. Instead, go for a blush. This fall, makeup artists are putting a focus on creating natural-looking flushed skin. Shop around for a shade that suits your skin tone by picking one close to your natural blushing shade. Don’t go too bright or too dark, or you’ll run the risk of looking like you belong in the circus, and nobody wants that.Highlighting
If you’re up on the latest beauty fads, you’ve probably heard the term “strobing.” Basically, this is just contouring with only a highlighter. You can add a shimmery, bright highlight to the highest points on your face to make your skin look naturally glowy. Again, pick a highlighter that flatters your skin tone. If you tend to have warmer undertones, go for one that features golden hues. If you’re skin tone is on the cooler side, try one with a pinker base.Smoky eyes
This is another trend that might not exactly seem new, but smoky eyes are huge this season. Thankfully for people like me who are terrible at precise eyeliner application, runways are full of messy looks that (again) could’ve come straight out of the 90s grunge era. Don’t worry about perfect angles, but rather focus on blending out your liner so that there are no harsh lines. Bronze shadows are also being paired with this look, so try out applying a warm metallic shade on your lid that flatters your eye color and blend away until there is a seamless transition from your shadow to your liner.Let us know which Fall 2015 beauty trends you can’t wait to try and which ones you plan to steer clear of!
